Bismarckschanke in Burg (Spreewald)

During our annual bike tours in the Spreewald, we take a short break here every time. The food tastes good, price / performance ratio fits and the staff is friendly.

Nice beer garden in the immediate vicinity of the Bismarck Tower. You can either sit on the terrace or directly by the large, beautifully landscaped pond. There is no service here, but in a typical beer garden this is self-service. The selection of food and drinks is large. The prices are absolutely okay. The service at the counter could definitely be a bit friendlier.

Perfect location, right on the Bismarck Tower! In summer you can sit here by a pond and take a break and let yourself be fed by the kitchen.

We were guests in the Bismarckschänke for 3 days and were able to form an opinion on site. The tenants do a great job that we don't envy them for. From 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on site, 7 days a week. As a cyclist, of course, you don't notice that. The food is great! And the price / performance ratio is also right because we also look at others. You can empty full ashtrays yourself, and you can also remove the dishes or glasses yourself! We were able to observe guests often and for a long time, and we have to say that some have no decency (how you call into the forest, it echoes back) and the tenants are reluctant (ps my wife often had to hold back) Conclusion, great Guided snack, nice rooms, great breakfast and we're going back again. Food was tasty, the price was also ok. At peak times you have to be patient when queuing. Everything around it was ok, beer garden and no restaurant, only the many wasps bothered us while we were eating.

Super delicious food, really recommendable! Nice service. And as a dessert, a soft ice cream from Birnbaum's iced coffee. The madness!

Beautiful pond and garden. Rudeness, lots of drunkards, the quality of the menu does not match the price, coffee and cappuccino made of powder for € 3.50. 😀

The Bismarck Tower as a tourist attraction attracts visitors, for my part I prefer the Bismarck inns opposite. Ate here twice, both times plentiful and tasty, nice staff and reasonable prices. The seating at the small pond is also okay. The cucumbers "to go" are a good idea and were crunchy and salty as we like them.

We were now a few days in the Bismarckschenke ... very friendly staff ... good rooms ... good food, always very concerned about the guest. Highly recommended. We could imagine coming again.

So the situation can not be topped. Beautifully situated on the bike path within sight of the Bismarck Tower. And the building is new you can also stay there pension. What I do not like so much is the pricing policy there. The food is not justified the price drink is also relatively expensive for that I have to serve myself. Although I am also a smoker but it bothered me that every ashtray overflowed although there were few guests in the restaurant.

The food is a joke as is the beer. Eat elsewhere.

Although the property is located on the main street, it is still very cozy and natural. For cyclists also very easy to reach. The drinks are of the highest quality and the food is good, but the Bismarckschänke is a snack. In addition to fast food, there are also typical Spreewald items such as potatoes and quark or grilled sausage. I like to recommend it for a short visit to Burg, although you can get some more out of it :)

Unfriendly staff in the beer garden. On request, if they can open a parasol you will only stupidly looked at. Food okay. Vegetarians have a hard time. Coffee overpriced.
